Ron Taylor Bio

Ron Taylor is a retired Chief Petty officer of the United States Navy with over twenty-two years of service to his country. Other past roles include Director of Internal Affairs at the Riverside Regional Jail and Youth Service Supervisor for the City of Virginia Juvenile Detention Center. An Elder and ordain Deacon serving God and His people.

He holds a Certificate of Completion in Correctional Management from Christopher Newport University, an Associate Degree of Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and minor in Sociology from St. Leo University, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Capella University.

He and his wife own Taylor Group and Associates, LLC providing outpatient psychotherapy. Hand Up Program connecting DDJ youth to training and jobs.

He has played an integral role in the community, as he co- founded non-profit organizations: Men of Faith and Hampton Roads Youth and Community Advisory Council (HRYCAC) whose mission is to aid and guide the youth in the City of Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads area. President and founder of Hampton Roads Black Caucus (HRBC).

Mr. Taylor provides mentorship and counseling for male youth who are without father or male role models in their home.

Currently, Mr. Taylor serves a City of Virginia Human Rights Commissioner; the Virginia Beach's African American Roundtable and the City of Virginia Beach Public School's Equity Council.

Mr. Taylor believes and promotes education because education is the key that's unlocks all dreams, potential and blueprint in an individual. He believes that our prize possessions can be taken away however never our level of knowledge in education

Pastor D.L. Williams

Pastor D. L. Williams is a dedicated leader with a heart for service. He began his ministry journey at the age of 15. He holds a Master of Divinity from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology and is the founding Pastor of One Accord Church in Virginia Beach, VA. Pastor Williams is a loving husband, and a devoted father. He is committed to serving his community through leadership, outreach, and vision. His mission is to guide others toward kingdom living and transformed lives, as he strives to make a lasting impact. He is also the author of three Christian books: The 40-Day Financial Fast; Never Knew Love Like This Before, and A King’s Guide: 31 Days to a Proverbs 31 Wife.

Arnetta

Commander Arnetta Spikes (ret.), served in the U. S. Navy for 24 years. She served during various operations including the Persian Gulf War (1991), as well as the Global War on Terrorism (2001), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), Operation Noble Eagle (ONE), and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). As a result of her outstanding leadership and devotion to duty, Commander Spikes was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal in lieu of second award.

Presently, she has been appointed by the Governor as Special Advisor on Mental Health. She received her Master’s Degree in Human Behavior from City University, Bellevue, WA. She assisted with getting Virginia Beach Blvd in VA Beach dedicated to Dr. Martin L. King Jr. and is an advocate for human rights. She received a Human Rights Award from the City of

Virginia Beach and also was awarded the 2016 Exemplar Award from the Hampton Roads Gazeti Newspaper. In 2024, her most recent trip to Africa, she participated in building churches, as well as, utilized her medical skills while providing medical aid during optical surgeries.

She is a Chaplain and gives back to the community through volunteering in various groups and organizations, such as Men of Faith, Boy Scouts, teaching bible study, Samaritan House, Homeless Projects, and more. One of her favorite scriptures includes, 1 John 4:16-19…. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them….”
